What is a Roundtable Session?
Our roundtable sessions offer a chance to dive into a topic with an expert presenter, or team of presenters. They provide an opportunity to dig deeply into a particular topic during a 90 to 120-minute presentation.

近年来,越来越多的华人国际学生来到美国接受心理咨询专业培训。由于文化,语言和社会制度的不同,华人国际学生在学习过程中遇到很多适应方面的困难。本次TCR咨询师圆桌会议网络研讨会邀请三位来自亚洲不同地区(中国大陆,台湾,和东南亚) 的美国心理咨询专业的毕业生来和大家分享他们留学阶段的经历和感受,并回答相关问题。
这次圆桌会旨在为正在美国心理咨询专业求学的普通话留学生提供支持和信息,并将心理咨询领域讲普通话的留学生联系起来,以便大家交流合作,增强团结。该网络研讨会将以普通话进行,参与者还将有机会与来自不同国家的同行建立联系。
网络研讨会将在 Zoom 上进行,会议录像将上传到 YouTube 以供公众访问。
Description
In recent years, an increasing number of Mandarin-speaking international students came to the United States to pursue counseling training. They encountered a wide range of challenges during their study due to sociocultural and language differences. This TCR webinar invites three U.S. counseling program graduates from Mainland China, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia to share their experiences, challenges, and successes pursuing counseling training in the United States.
This TCR Roundtable webinar aims to support current Mandarin-speaking international students in U.S. counseling programs. It also hopes to connect Mandarin-speaking international students in the United States. The webinar will be conducted in Mandarin, and participants will also have the opportunity to network with peers from various countries.
The webinar will be conducted on Zoom and recorded for public access via YouTube.

余胜利
余胜利是一个来自马来西亚的咨询师教育工作者,目前就职于Villanova大学。他热衷于探索和支持留学生和国际教师的优势和成长历程。余胜利也是Clarity Insight and Counseling Services的创始人之一,这个心理咨询机构主要服务于亚洲来访者。余胜利是一个临床精神卫生方向的咨询师,硕士阶段他专注于游戏治疗,博士阶段他专攻多元文化咨询。
Terence Tsien Li Yee
Terence Yee is an international counselor educator from Malaysia who is currently working as an Assistant Professor at Villanova University. He has a strong passion for highlighting the strengths and processes of international students and faculty. Terence is also the co-founder of Clarity Insight and Counseling Services, a private practice that serves predominantly Asian clients. Terence’s counseling training focused on clinical mental health, specializing in play therapy (Masters) and multicultural counseling (PhD) .
鹿飞宇
本科毕业于北京师范大学心理学部心理学专业,硕士毕业于乔治华盛顿大学教育与人类发展学院康复咨询专业,现就职于the Choice Group,担任职业康复咨询师。
Feiyu Lu
Feiyu received his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Beijing Normal University. He attended the Graduate School of Education and Human Development at George Washington University to complete his master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling. Currently, Feiyu works at the Choice Group as a rehabilitation counselor.
彭雨薰
雨薰是雪城大學諮詢師教育博士項目三年級的學生。她來自台灣,喜歡動物和戶外探險。她的工作經歷是在社區和高校的諮詢中心服務於不同文化背景的來訪者。雨薰的研究興趣主要是心理諮詢以及諮詢師教育中的多元文化議題,包括心理諮詢中非傳統的干預,諮詢師教育中的創造力,以及國際視角下的心理諮詢。
Yu-Hsun Peng (Ariel)
Ariel is a third-year doctoral student in Counseling and Counselor Education at Syracuse University. She is an international student from Taiwan, an animal lover, and an outdoor adventurer. Ariel had experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds in community healthcare and college counseling centers. Her research interest lies in multiculturalism in counseling and counselor education, such as non-traditional interventions in counseling, creativity in counselor education, and international perspectives in counseling.

Yun Shi
Yun Shi is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has worked with diverse individuals and families since 2003. In the past decade, she has supervised dozens of mental health professionals from the United States and over 10 Asian countries and regions. She teaches in master’s level counselor education programs in the United States and trains counselors overseas. Yun is currently completing her doctoral degree in Counselor Education from Oregon State University. Her research interests include diversity in marriage, couple, and family counseling, theories and techniques of counseling with diverse populations, and internationalization of counseling.
