Celebrating Mental Health Counseling Among Chinese Communities Across the World: The First Mandarin-language TCR Event

What is a Roundtable Session?

Our roundtable sessions offer a chance to dive into a topic with an expert presenter, or team of presenters. They provide an opportunity to dig deeply into a particular topic during a 90 to 120-minute presentation.

Description

Chinese live and work in more than two-thirds of the countries in the world. The mental health needs of the Chinese people in various social settings have been highlighted in the literature. The number of Chinese mental health counselors (CMHC) is slowly growing in countries where mental health counseling training is available. Despite the growing trend, CMHCs remain largely disconnected from each other by space and time. This TCR Roundtable webinar seeks to connect Mandarin-speaking CMHCs across the world for networking and solidarity and to celebrate the good work happening in different Chinese communities. The webinar will be conducted in Mandarin featuring three Mandarin-speaking MHCs (mainland China, Malaysia, and United States) who will share their work among Chinese in their respective communities. Participants will also have the opportunity to network with peers from various countries.

The webinar will be conducted on Zoom and recorded for public access via YouTube.
