School Counseling Leadership Silver Linings: Lessons from Quarantine
What is a Roundtable Session?
Our roundtable sessions offer a chance to dive into a topic with an expert presenter, or team of presenters. They provide an opportunity to dig deeply into a particular topic during a 90-minute presentation.
Description
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the world of counseling forever with implications that may play out for a long time to come. Over the last year and a half, the leadership roles and responsibilities of school counselors have been sharply magnified. School counselors have had to navigate the difficulties of access, technology complications, individual student and family needs, and a dramatically changing educational landscape. Many of us wondered if anything positive has come out of this demanding time. In this webinar, attendees will meet and interact with a panel of three professional school counselors and learn how they and their school counseling programs have led and innovated to meet the unexpected and unparalleled challenges of quarantine while meeting the needs of their diverse students and families. You will hear about their leadership roles, positive reflections, lessons learned, and strategies and improvements implemented to meet this global crisis.
